"Look, honey, It's a Christmas goose!"
It is a snow goose, who has chosen to rest in our pasture. I have never seen one before, but got online to see if I could identify what kind it is. Just so handsome, don't ya think.

Yes, we do get a variety of wildlife out here. A few years back, we had the most beautiful ring neck phesant. They are not winter hardy and he ended up in the neighbors yard, in a pile of snow. I was saddened to see it, as I got attatched to seeing him come daily around three oclock in the afternoons.
The Christmas goose is rested and has left, but sure am wishful it comes again next season.
