Winter's Beauty

When the snow falls, landing on everything in sight, it brings peace here on Earth.

Mornings after I finish my barn chores, I look forward to this walk up over the hill to the compost pile.

This is looking up one row of the vineyard, isn't it beautiful.

It is literally so quiet and restful, you can only hear a song bird or two, or an occasional bellow from the neighbors cows.

As I crest the hill and look through the many twisted vines, I spot a clump of winter grapes. Of course, these will have to be clipped, and tossed in early spring, to promote the new crop come late summer into early fall.

More snow in the forecast for tomorrow....

Such beautiful pictures, Mel... and I'm always in awe of the quiet and stillness of a new-fallen snow!

I say, you all come over for tea or hot chocolate. We could ride down the hill on sleds, maybe even build a snowfort.

I love going back to the hunting blind and just sitting there, it's an awesome place to Thank God for all we are blessed in.

We are still getting some snow but nothing like what you have! It is beautiful--covers a lot of the neighbors crap! And the trees are gorgeous, especially the evergreens. I just can't take the cold! Brrr.....
