Do You Smell The Coffee

Good morning friends,

As always, Dunkin woke me up this morning bright and early, chewing (nibbling) on his blankie. I stumbled down the steps with the three dogs (who were racing down them) to let them out at "almost" 6 AM then headed right for the coffee maker. I don't know about you all, but for me, I have to have that kick start before anything else can be accomplished.
Dunkin, he looks so innocent, does he not...

We are just getting home from the beach in North Carolina, where the weather was superb! Everyday was sunny and hot with temps in the 90's, where we enjoyed laying in the sun and quickly running into the waves to cool off before soaking up more sun, we all have some awesome tans. The week was spent with my husbands family, close to 30 people, ( hubby has only brothers and no sisters,) thankfully, there's sister-in-laws... Brother Scott & his wife reserved the two townhouse type condo's right on the ocean, we split up into groups and shared the cooking, and other chores. It was a great time, we had the pleasure of seeing all his brothers, wives, and kids, (some of our neices and nephews had kids) this was first time in many years that all the families were able to take vacations from work and join us.

Thanks Scott, this was a vacation that got us thinking....

You see, we do not enjoy freezing our tails off, nor being taxed to death, nor paying outrageous prices for gasoline, and heating oil, and did I mention, the utility companies sucking the life out of people... Anyhow, enough said on that, but what I'm getting to is; that hubby and I both agreed it's time to move on, he has applied for a few jobs down south, and we are hopeful that we are headed for a warmer, more relaxed lifestyle. The most recent job he has applied for will be a promotion, and in the long run, will be a better retirement benifit. We have both been browsing the internet for real estate, looking for a nice little farmette, with a pool, and small pastures for the horses, (some fruit trees would be a plus) of course, there out there, but finding the right one on a computer is not likely.
We will keep you all posted~

I smell the coffee!!- and totally relate! This morning, I stumbled out of bed, made coffee; then slipped on my clogs and went to the barn in my jammies to let the puddleducks out of their pen... and chickens out of theirs. By the time I got back to the house... coffee was done brewing and here I sit reading nickers n neighs with my happycup. lol
