Just the Cutest ~ Baby

ZOE

Here she is, just a few hours old in one of the hats crocheted by some of our local elders, and donated for all babies born in our local hospital.

Our youngest daughter, made this labor and delivery thing seem like an piece of cake. Having gone in the hospital to be induced, and the doctor on call refusing this being done (because he didn't believe in it) we spent the night with a nursewho was coming in the room (what seemed like every 5 minutes) to check monitor, to administer pain meds (which by the way, stopped contractions to the point they had to give some other meds to start contactions up, once they had stopped.) The very next morning at 7AM the nurse came in examined mommy, who was only dialated to 2 cm and was told she could go on this way for 3 to 4 days, an hour later another exam revealed she was at 5cm, and at 9:25 she was at 10cm and feeling that urge to push; 9:44 baby was here...

Why this photo comes up bigger is beyond me, however, this is Zoe at 3 days old, in her bassinet at Grammy & Grampy's house. She is just so adorable, seeing her picture just makes me wanna pick her up, and give her kisses on those big puffy cheeks (which by the way, runs in our family.) LOL
Yesterday, I spent the day in one of our rentals painting walls in the kitchen and even got all the cabinets painted. Originally, I was going to antique those cabinets, but they look awesome sooo, I'm not sure that I will. I must say, I'm not happy with our previous tenants, they left all the cleaning up to us and on top of it all, there was a "no smoking policy in the lease" (due to the fact, I have asthma, and cannot tolerate smoke) I'm feeling it in my chest today, Icky!!! I have to repaint all the ceilings and either wash the walls with vinegar & water or sand them and apply a fresh coat of sealer. We had to replace part of the kitchens subflooring, due to a water leak and the faucet nozzle (which tenants replaced with a spraying nozzle) that sprayed half the kitchen down. Also, had to replace subflooring in bathroom under toilet, because tenants flushed baby wipes ( a huge no-no) which ended up stuck in the pipes while tenant decided to leave for as few days while she went home to visit family. These wipes swell up once they are in the pipes and have to be fished out by a professional plumber (tenants did repay us for that part of it) the problem was they flushed the tiolet and it ended up overflowing and sitting on the floor for a few days along with the blue cleaner. So, to make a longer story shorter we have been working on that rental for over a month trying to get it back in commission. I'll post some before and afters to this in a later post.
Today, my friends, is village wide yard sales day. In three different surrounding villages, do you know where I'm going with this, (while my lungs clear up) I'm going to have some fun....
You all have a wonderful weekend,
Mel
